How To Get Rid Of Lactic Acid Build Up

Have you ever pushed yourself pass the limit, and so intensely at some type of sports or other activities such as swimming, working out, hiking, etc. that you feel a burning sensation in your muscles, and then later the sensation becomes pain? That pain will become unbearable to the point when you need pain medications, and your muscles will no longer be able to be utilized to their full potential.

If you love going to the gym a lot, then you will no doubt experience this unbearable pain on a daily basis when you are always pushing yourself to the limit every day. Most of people say that the burning sensation will help build muscles or get ripped, and they are always working up to that level of the burn, and novice lifters will feel this burn even if they only do a little bit of exercises. All this burning and pain from overusing the muscles are lactic acid build up in the muscles, and I will explain how to get rid of lactic acid build up.

When individuals do any type of physical activity, inside the people’s muscles there are chemical reactions that are in effect. Oxygen is converted into carbon dioxide, and the blood is pumping through them to try and move them, and glycogen is being burned.

If the individual was to workout at a very slow and light pace (weights that a little kid can do several reps with, etc.) then the possibility of having a lactic acid effect is not likely to happen, unless the person is doing thousands of reps in an hour for example. This is because an individual who exercises very light and steady is training aerobically that requires lots of oxygen. This will have plenty of oxygen to replace the carbon dioxide build up in the body.

As serious people who lift to build muscles, they exercise in an anaerobic approach. The anaerobic approach will use little to no oxygen at all. Since bodybuilders will take in very little oxygen whilst lifting weights, their carbon dioxide levels will dramatically climb up till they are a bit overwhelmed. The lack of oxygen in the body will then be the lactic acid build up effect.

There is a myth that say our muscles fail because of the lactic acid buildup. The truth is that the lactic acid buildup will help prolong your workouts in away. The burning sensation usually makes the individual feel great about his or her workout. However, after a few days of working out to feel the burn, the individuals can feel a severe pain which can make your muscles cramp because they are too stiff.

How to get rid of lactic acid build up?

Individuals can minimize lactic acid build up by doing a bit of warm up stretching before, during, and after working out. Another great thing that you can do is drink lots of water to help replenish your body, which can help minimize the lactic acid build up.
